Yep, I feel like that pretty much every day. I'm not even sure what does get me up, so unfortunately I don't have good advice on that front.

What does work for me is I try and think of an upcoming event that I'm looking forward to, or even though I hate school, getting to talk to my friends helps sometimes. Then even just wanting to listen to a certain song or watching something on TV helps. I just try to focus on the little things in life that I usually enjoy and think about them.

Just know that the feeling does pass, I'm waiting as well. You're not the only one :)

Yep all the time. Best thing is to force yourself into the shower right away. Get out and make a breakfast or have a coffee. Get busy. Clean your place,do dishes, vacume, make your bed etc. Anything to keep your mind busy. Try stretching or exercise. If you can get blood flowing through your body it really helps to clear your mind.

Try to avoid doing nothing. Waking up to sit on the couch for hours will only make things worst. If you need to get things done like bills and groceries then do it. Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today. Doing the little things will put you in a better frame of mind for tackeling bigger things.

maybe iv been a hour or two late getting up but they have enough food and water i always make sure of that.

I use to feel like this, but I don't anymore.

Basically because I have a morning ritual that I enjoy now. I wake up and have some nice green tea.

Try starting your day with something you enjoy so that you start to associate 'waking up' with something pleasant.

If you drink coffee perhaps make that first coffee a cappucino or something.

Yep, feel like this today. I reach for the first thing I can -- the phone, the book on my night stand, my cat -- anything that will help me to shift my chain of thought a little. It's not always easy!!

The way I try to look at it is "you never know what could happen today." It might be a really good day, and we'll miss out on it because we chose not to get up in the morning. I try to have a positive attitude, even when I'm feeling depressed. You have to be willing to fight depression and not let it hold you back. Staying in bed and not facing the day is just another way of letting depression win, and you definitely don't want that. That's what I try to keep in mind every morning.
