That Nine Inch Nails is a good one. Haven't listened to it for ages, but i remember when i did, the lyrics caught my attention. Cant remember them now but.. I liked it.

I can't choose just one. if i do i will post the video but a shortlist:

X Japan - Art of Life (full version)
Linkin Park - Breaking The Habit
Muse - Blackout
The Smiths - Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now
Gackt - Jesus
Dir en grey - The Final <<<< that one quite a lot.

Oh, that one is wonderful.
The last phrase is so beautiful!
"Let's bloom flowers of attempted suicide"

:) people like the final! good. when i realised the lyrics it really caught up in me. I was at college at the time. When he sings "i cant live so i cant live..." that always gets me. Though i havent listened for a while either... will have to :(

A lot of Dir en grey reflect my feelings.

Excess - yes Kyo's voice is lovely (kinda ironic Kyo means "today").
I've seen 'em live this summer, it was wonderful, I was at the fence and they were so close to me.

Lua by Bright Eyes also sums up my condition too.

I saw them in Summer of 2007. During the best/worst part of my life. I had to leave before the encore, and i was really depressed so i was at the back on my own (was a tiny venue) and then afterwards got slagged off on Last.fm for being the miserable one at the back. Well fuck you if i dont want to cheer at the sight of kyo's blood. |Fuck you the lot of you.

Went to see them again this January as part of a Kerrang tour with 4 other random bands, spend hundreds, and what happened? they get us all in, we're waiting for 2 and a half hours, we were at the second barrier back, excited to be so close, WITH a camera this time, and then the say its fucking cancelled. they got everyone (performers) on stage for the apology, toshiya, shinya, die and kaoru were sort of sulking at the back on my side, and i felt just as bad for THEM. They came all the way from fucking japan, and london is meant to be the highlight. Was also the last night of the tour as well. I heard that apparently kyo trashed backstage, and i wouldnt blame him if that was true.

SO thats my last experience of dir en grey. So we left utterly pissed off and THEN find out they came out to sign people's cds etc, as an apology. FFS.

I remember scracthing my arm raw once, like Kyo does to his torso. scar didnt heal for fucking aggges. That was a nice feeling...Might have to try it again some time. Dir en grey day tomorrow. Decided.

First post :D

I googled "depression forums" and found this site, worked my way around, and when I saw this thread, I knew I had to get an account and post.

I have a playlist entitled "Kryptonite" (yes, the 3 Doors Down song is in it) for when I need to feed the fire. Here are a couple examples:

Hinder - Better Than Me
Atreyu - No One Cares
Alice in Chains - No Excuses
Any and all songs by Staind

But if I had to pick one, "It's Been Awhile" by Staind is definitely the song that describes what I've been through.
