I get chest pains as well. This is a recent development for me. I have not talked to my doctor yet, so I don't know about medications, but breathing exercises calm me a little, forcing myself to take slow, controlled breaths. Sorry about your pain.

Its ok I just think when i was one meds it took away the side effects of the anxiety but i still got the anxiety now being off meds i get both yay for me.

Once I relax the pains do stop just that relaxing bit can take some time.

Thank you for the reply

Hi Zoe, Doing physical effort like walking, biking or others on a daily basis will lower your anxiety. Anxiety can be quite manageable. Are there big differences between being on meds or not ? IS

Whenever I've gotten chest pains (which are probably linked to anxiety though I don't know for sure) I've breathed deeply, drank some water and if possible, laid down for a bit, closed my eyes and avoided talking. The other day, my cousin kept asking me if I was alright, I had to tell him to stop talking and let me be silent. The key is that the more you panic about the pains, the worse the anxiety will get. If you try to relax and just ride with them, they'll stop sooner. Fortunately I rarely get chest pains with anxiety and when I do, the anxiety isn't so bad (like it's affecting me physically rather than mentally).
