I was listening to music on the radio, like I usually do, to keep me calm while driving. I didn't realize that a firetruck was right behind me with its lights flashing and siren on. It honked and I pulled over to the right in a panic. After it passed, I quickly moved back into my lane. I wasn't looking ahead to see that another car in front of me was doing the same thing... luckily I swerved around them. If I had been just 1 second later in reacting, I would have rear-ended them.

I'm still feeling rattled about it. Experiences like this make me think I'm not fit to be on the road. I feel like such a fucking idiot. I'm so angry at myself right now.

I am glad that you didn't got hurt, Black Sheep. You are not an idiot. We all make mistakes on road.

Dont blame yourself so much ,all of us do stupid things sometimes.The important fact its that you must hange your perception and must be more careful when you drive

Consider yourself lucky but make a promise not to repeat such thing. No doubt we all are humans and will do such things, but it’s important to stay safe.

why would I make a promise I can't keep? I'm a fucking screw-up. It's bound to happen again. Hopefully it kills me next time so I don't have to suffer this existence anymore.

driving test in exactly 1 week. I procrastinated and didn't practice very much. I feel so unprepared. I'm scared out of my mind right now.

I've done the exact same thing before, and this was after having my license for a good 5 years. Live and learn. Doesn't mean you'll be perfect in the future, you just know what to be cautious of.
